Mudjack Atlanta – your alternative to messy and expensive concrete tear out and replacement!

What is mudjacking?

If your concrete is sinking, there is a very good possibility that the concrete slab was installed on poorly compacted fill dirt. Sub-surface erosion and shrinking soils are also possibilities.

You should not have to replace the concrete with the option of mudjacking. Mudjacking  floats a slab back to its original position by pumping a mixture of sand, cement, fly ash, and other additives beneath your slab.

Mudjacking is accomplished by drilling strategically placed holes into the slab. Using a portable pump and flexible hoses, the holes are filled with the mixture. Lifting a slab using this method can often be accomplished in a few hours.

Often the cost to perform this service is less than half that of replacing a new slab.

Here is a pictorial overview of Slab Jacking

How mudjacking is done

A pattern of 1-5/8 inch holes are drilled through the sunken slab.

How to repair cracks in concrete

A grout mixture is pumped under the slab with our specialized equipment. Once any void is filled, the grout becomes pressurized, hydraulically raising the slab to the desired height.

Repairing sinking concrete

The holes are patched using a concrete mixture.
